The Department of Commerce includes the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which operates the nation’s civil weather satellites and includes the Office of Space Commerce that regulates commercial remote sensing satellites and oversees development of the Traffic Coordination System for System (TraCSS) to provide space situational awareness data to commercial and civil satellite operators.
Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick is the witness.
