Update, February 25: During a media telecon today, IM’s representative said they will “hopefully” launch tomorrow and everything is on track, but did not officially announce the date or time. The Wet Dress Rehearsal is this afternoon. Details may be provided after that.
In the meantime, the KSC Visitor Center — which sells tickets to the public to watch the launch — shows 7:17 pm ET as the expected launch time.
Original Entry: Intuitive Machines will launch its second lunar lander, IM-2, on a Space X Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center, FL. The four-day launch window opens on February 26, 2025. The lander is named Athena.
The launch date and time have not been officially announced as of February 21. The KSC Visitor Center website shows February 26 between 7:02-7:34 pm ET and we are using that as a placeholder, but it could change.
NASA has two pre-launch briefings scheduled for February 25 and 26.
