January 20, 2025  is Inauguration Day, a Federal Holiday, and government offices will be closed. Donald Trump will be inaugurated for the second time. He was U.S. President from January 20, 2017-January 20, 2021.

In 2025, January 20 also is a Federal Holiday in observance of the birthday of civil rights leader The Reverand Martin Luther King, Jr.  The holiday is held on the third Monday of January. King’s actual birthday is January 15, 1929.
