INTERNATIONAL ASTEROID DAY, June 30, 2018, global

The United Nations General Assembly declared June 30 of every year to be Asteroid Day to “observe each year at the international level the anniversary of the Tunguska impact over Siberia” on June 30, 1908.  The goal is to raise public awareness about “the asteroid impact hazard.”
