ISRO CREW MODULE ABORT TEST, Oct 21, 2023, 12:30 am ET

Update, October 21 EDT:  The test was quickly rescheduled and successfully completed. The liftoff time apparently was 10:00 IST (12:30 am EDT).  ISRO posted a video afterwards.

Reason for the launch hold is identified and corrected.

The launch is planned at 10:00 Hrs. today.

Update, October 20, 11:20 pm EDT:  After a 30-minute or so weather delay, the automated computer system scrubbed the launch at T-5 seconds.  ISRO is investigating what happened.

Update, October 19:  ISRO just tweeted links to watch the event beginning 30 minutes in advance (which will be 10:00 pm EDT tomorrow, Oct 20).

Original Entry: The Indian Space Research Organisation will conduct a crew module abort test for its human spaceflight program on October 21, 2023 at 08:00 India Standard Time, which is October 20, 10:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time.

An ISRO tweet provides a link to the livestream, but it is not working at this moment (October 17, 8:30 pm ET).  If we find a better link, we’ll add it here.

TV-D1 Flight Test:
The test is scheduled for October 21, 2023, at 0800 Hrs. IST from the First launchpad at SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota.

It will be a short-duration mission and the visibility from the Launch View Gallery (LVG) will be limited.
