ISS CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY, Jan 12, 2026, Earth orbit, 2:35 pm ET

NASA astronaut Mike Fincke will hand over command of the International Space Station to Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Kud-Sverchkov on January 12, 2026 at 2:35 pm ET.  NASA will provide live coverage on NASA+, Amazon Prime, and NASA’s YouTube channel.

Fincke and the other members of Crew-11 are returning to Earth earlier than planned because one of them is ill. NASA is not revealing who it is or what the medical condition is for privacy reasons.

Crew-11 is scheduled to undock on January 14 and splashdown early on January 15.
