Update, March 11: This event has been postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Original Entry: The International Space University (ISU)-USA DC alumni chapter will hold a Space Cafe on March 17, 2020 at Open City, 2331 Calvert St., NW, Washington, DC (Red line-Woodley Park-Zoo metro stop).
Speakers are:
- Jean-Luc Bald, First Secretary for Space at the Delegation of the European Union to the USA
- Marc Jochemich, Head of DLR’s (German space agency) Washington Office
- Sylvie Espinasse, Head of ESA’s Washington Office
- Theresa Hitchens, space reporter for Breaking Defense (and former Director of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research, UNIDIR), moderator

The International Space University – USA Alumni Association’s Washington, DC Chapter is pleased to present a reboot of our monthly Space Cafes! These events bring together prominent experts on space, ISU alumni, the space community, and the interested public in a casual forum that encourages interaction and discussion.
Space Cafe events will now begin at 6:30pm and are hosted at Open City, located at 2331 Calvert St NW, Washington, DC (Red Line – Woodley Park-Zoo metro stop).
This month’s speakers will include Jean-Luc Bald (First Secretary for Space at the Delegation of the European Union to the USA), Marc Jochemich (Head of DLR – Washington Office), Sylvie Espinasse (Head of ESA – Washington Office), and Theresa Hitchens (Space reporter for Breaking Defence) to serve as moderator.
