JFK SPACE SUMMIT (JFK Library), June 19, 2019, Boston, MA, 9:00 am-7:30 pm ET

Update, June 19: the event will be webcast.  It now begins at 9:00 am with a keynote address by Boeing’s Dennis Muilenberg.

Original entry: The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum will hold a day-long symposium “highlighting the history that led to the first Moon landing, current scientific and technological space initiatives, and the future of space exploration.”

The event will take place at the JFK Library, Columbia Point, Boston, MA from 10:30 am – 7:30 pm ET.  More information is on the event’s website.

Among the speakers are:

  • a panel of astronauts from the United States, Japan, Italy and Russia;
  • a panel of space and earth science VIPs including Mike Freilich (NASA, retired), Maria Zuber (MIT), Laurie Leshin (WPI), and Sara Seager (MIT);
  • a panel with Apollo 11 astronaut Mike Collins, former NASA Administrator and space shuttle commander Charlie Bolden, MIT professor and former NASA Deputy Administrator Dava Newman, former astronaut and JSC Director Ellen Ochoa, and National Air and Space Museum Director and former NASA Chief Scientist Ellen Stofan; and
  • a fireside chat with Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos and Ambassador Caroline Kennedy
