The Embassy of France and the French-American Cultural Foundation (F-ACF) will hold an event at the French Embassy in Washington, DC on September 10, 2021 at 10:00 am ET.
The topic is: “James Webb Space Telescope: Finding First Light & the Power of Science Through Partnerships.”
It will be livestreamed.
The $9 billion JWST, often described as a follow-on to the Hubble Space Telescope, is a partnership among NASA, ESA and the Canadian Space Agency. ESA is providing the launch on an Ariane 5 rocket at no cost to NASA as part of its contribution to the mission. Launch from Arianespace’s launch site in Kourou, French Guiana is expected in November 2021, although a firm launch date has not been set yet.
