The United Launch Alliance (ULA) is scheduled to launch the sixth of DOD’s Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) geosynchronous (GEO) satellites, SBIRS GEO-6, on August 4, 2022, at 6:29 am ET on an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), FL. The launch window is open until 7:09 am ET.
SBIRS is a constellation of satellites in geostationary and other orbits that detect missile launches. This is the last in the series.
