Event Navigation

UPDATE, April 12: The new dates are April 22-23, 2026. The time is still 11:00 am-5:00 pm ET each day.
UPDATE: The website now says the date is “TBA.” The government was closed in the D.C. area on January 26 and 27 due to a snowstorm, but it doesn’t say if that’s the reason.
Original Entry: NASA’s Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute (SSERVI) will host a virtual Lunar Surface Science Workshop (LSSW) on January 27-28, 2026 from 11:00 am-5:00 pm ET to “share results from the first CLPS missions, provide updates on upcoming deliveries, and discuss lessons learned.”
More information about “Results from Early CLPS Deliveries and Upcoming CLPS Exploration Activities” is on the event’s website.
CLPS is NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative where NASA partners with industry to deliver NASA and other payloads to the lunar surface. Four CLPS missions have taken place so far, one from Astrobotic, two from Intuitive Machines, and one from Firefly. Only Firefly’s Blue Ghost Mission-1 in March 2025 was a complete success.
