POSTPONED

NASA ADVISORY COUNCIL (NAC), June ??, 2020

UPDATE, May 29: The meeting has been postponed until further notice because the launch of Demo-2 was delayed and it is not clear when it will occur.  NASA said postponing the NAC meeting will allow the agency’s leadership to focus on the launch.

The NASA Advisory Council (NAC) virtual public meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, has been postponed until further notice.

The postponement is due to the delay of NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 launch, originally scheduled for May 27. The launch was scrubbed due to unfavorable weather conditions.Currently it’s targeted for Saturday, May 30, but could be delayed further if such weather conditions continue through the weekend. Postponing the NAC meeting will allow NASA leadership and others to focus their attention on the Demo-2 prelaunch, launch, and post-launch activities.

Original Entry: On May 21, NASA announced in the Federal Register that the NASA Advisory Council (NAC) will meet via teleconference and WebEx on June 2, 2020 from 10:00 am-6:45 pm ET.

By law, agencies are supposed to give 15 days notice of such meetings, but this one says it is being held with less notice “due to technical and administrative priorities associated with this meeting.”
