NASA BRIEFING ON JWST TESTING, Jan 10, 2018, Johnson Space Center, TX, 2:00 pm ET (webcast)

NASA will hold a briefing on January 10, 2018 at Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston, TX at 2:00 pm ET (1:00 pm local time) to discuss the recent testing of the James Webb Space Telescope’s (JWST’s) optical system that took place in a special cyrogenic vacuum chamber at JSC “and the next steps on the observatory path to space.”  Participants in the briefing are:

• Ellen Ochoa, Johnson center director and veteran NASA astronaut
• Bill Ochs, Webb telescope project manager at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland
• Jonathan Homan, project manager for Webb telescope Chamber A Test Team at Johnson
• Mark Voyton, Webb telescope Optical Telescope Element and Integrated Science Instrument Module (OTIS) manager at Goddard

It will be broadcast on NASA TV and livestreamed on NASA Live.
