NASA BRIEFINGS ON ICESAT-2, Aug 22, 2018, virtual, 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm ET

NASA will hold a media telecon on August 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm ET to discuss its upcoming ICESAT-2 launch. The Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESAT-2) will carry NASA’s most advanced laser altimeter to measure Earth’s changing ice. It is scheduled for launch on September 15, 2018.
Participants in the August 22 media telecon at 1:00 pm ET are:
- Tom Wagner, cryosphere program scientist in the Science Mission Directorate (SMD) at NASA Headquarters
- Richard Slonaker, ICESat-2 program executive in SMD
- Doug McLennan, ICESat-2 project manager at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center
- Donya Douglas-Bradshaw, Advanced Topographic Laser Altimeter System (ATLAS) instrument manager at Goddard
- Tom Neumann, ICESat-2 deputy project scientist at Goddard
