NASA BRIEFINGS ON UPCOMING ISS SPACEWALKS TO REPAIR AMS, Nov 12, 2019, JSC, 2:00 and 3:00 pm ET (webcast)

NASA will conduct two briefings on November 12, 2019 at Johnson Space Center, TX to discuss at least four upcoming spacewalks at the International Space Station to repair the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS), a cosmic ray detector that is attached to the ISS.  Both briefings will be webcast on NASA TV and NASA Live.

Briefing 1: Program and Science Overview, 2:00 pm ET

  • Kenny Todd, space station operations integration manager
  • Ken Bollweg, AMS program manager

Briefing 2: Details on Tools, Techniques and Objectives of Each Spacewalk, 3:00 pm ET

  • Jeff Radigan, spacewalk flight director
  • Tara Jochim, AMS spacewalk repair project manager
  • John Mularski, lead spacewalk officer

All the spacewalks will be conducted by NASA astronaut Drew Morgan and ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano.  The first is scheduled for November 15.  Dates for the others are TBD.  NASA TV will cover each of them beginning at 5:30 am ET.
