NASA/ESA MEDIA TELECONS ON SOLAR ORBITER, Jan 27, 2020, virtual, 11:00 am ET (in Spanish), 2:00 pm ET (in English)

NASA and ESA will hold two media telecons to discuss the Solar Orbiter mission that is currently (January 24) scheduled for launch on February 5. The audio of both telecons will be available on NASA Live.
Solar Orbiter is an ESA mission. One of its 10 instruments and one sensor were provided by NASA and it will launch on a U.S. Atlas V rocket.
The first briefing, at 11:00 am ET, will be in Spanish and features the following participants:
- Teresa Nieves-Chinchilla, NASA deputy project scientist for Solar Orbiter at the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland
- Yaireska Collado-Vega, space weather forecasting team lead, Community Coordinated Modeling Center at Goddard
- Luís Sanchez, head of development of science operations for Solar Orbiter at ESA’s European Space Astronomy Centre in Madrid, Spain
The second briefing, at 2:00 pm ET, will in English and features the following participants:
- Nicola Fox, director of the Heliophysics Division in the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington
- Chris St. Cyr, former NASA project scientist for the mission at Goddard
- Yannis Zouganelis, ESA deputy project scientist for Solar Orbiter at the European Space Astronomy Centre in Madrid
