NASA MARS SAMPLE RETURN BRIEFING, July 28, 2020, 2:00 pm ET

In connection with the upcoming launch of NASA’s Mars Perseverance mission, NASA will hold a briefing on July 28, 2020 at 2:00 pm ET on Mars Sample Return.  Mars Perseverance will collect samples for later return to Earth by other spacecraft.

The briefing will air on NASA TV.

Participants are:

• Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator, NASA’s Science Mission Directorate
• David Parker, director of human and robotic exploration, ESA (European Space Agency)
• Jeff Gramling, NASA Mars Sample Return Program director
• Julie Townsend, sampling and caching operations lead, JPL
• Chris Herd, returned sample science participating scientist, University of Alberta
• Lisa Pratt, NASA planetary protection officer
