NASA MEDIA TELECON ON MISSION TO STUDY EARTH’S MAGNETIC SHIELD, July 17, 2025, virtual, 11:00 am ET

NASA will hold a media telecon on July 17, 2025 at 11:00 am ET to discuss an upcoming mission to study Earth’s magnetic shield — Tandem Reconnection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites, or TRACERS.

TRACERS will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in late July along with three other NASA funded payloads that are described in NASA’s press release: Athena EPIC (Economical Payload Integration Cost) smallsat, Polylingual Experimental Terminal technology demonstration, and Relativistic Electron Atmospheric Loss (REAL) cubesat.
