NASA will hold a media telecon on May 15, 2024 at 3:00 pm ET to discuss the upcoming launch of two PREFIRE (Polar Radiant Energy in the Far-InfraRed Experiment) cubesats to study heat loss from Earth’s polar regions. The first is scheduled for launch by Rocket Lab on May 22. The launch date for the second is TBD.
