NASA MEDIA TELECON WITH UPDATE ON ARTEMIS I WET DRESS REHEARSAL, May 27, 2022, virtual, 12:00 pm ET
NASA will hold a media teleconference on May 27, 2022 at 12:00 pm ET to provide on update on when the Wet Dress Rehearsal for the Artemis I mission will resume.
After three attempts to complete the WDR in April, NASA decided to roll the Artemis I rocket back to the Vehicle Assembly Building for repairs while Air Liquide completed upgrades to its gaseous nitrogen (GN2) supply system for gases needed to purge propellant lines.
NASA has said they would roll back out to the launch pad in early June and the WDR would resume mid-month with a target launching the uncrewed Artemis I test flight in August. Presumably this teleconfernce will provide the latest schedule.
Participants are:
- Tom Whitmeyer, deputy associate administrator for common exploration systems development, NASA Headquarters
- Cliff Lanham, senior vehicle operations manager, Exploration Ground Systems Program, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center
- John Blevins, chief engineer, Space Launch System Program, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center
