UPDATE: The Grace-FO launch has been postponed until May 22. Therefore, NASA has postponed this briefing until May 21 at 1:30 pm ET (10:30 am Pacific).
Original Entry: NASA will hold a pre-launch briefing for the GRACE-Follow On (GRACE-FO) mission on May 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm ET at Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA. GRACE-FO will be launched along with a set of commercial Iridium NEXT communications satellites from Vandenberg on May 19 (UPDATE: now May 22).
The briefing and the launch will air on NASA TV and the agency’s website.
Participants in the briefing are:
- David Jarrett, GRACE-FO program executive in the Earth Science Division at NASA Headquarters
- Frank Webb, GRACE-FO project scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)
- Frank Flechtner, GRACE-FO project manager at GFZ
- Phil Morton, NASA GRACE-FO project manager at JPL
- Capt. Jennifer Haden, weather officer for the 30th Space Wing at Vandenberg
