NASA PUBLIC MTGS ON SCOPING ENV ASSESSMENT OF RETURNING SAMPLES FROM MARS, May 4-5, 2022, virtual

Update, April 27:  A correction was published in today’s Federal Register because the original announcement omitted the meeting number for audio-only users to gain access to the meeting.

Orignal Entry: NASA is seeking public input on how to scope its draft environmental assessment for returning samples of Mars to Earth.

NASA will prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for the Mars Sample Return mission in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  It first needs to determine the scope of the PEIS and the public may comment on that in two virtual meetings:

• May 4, 2022, 1:00-3:00 pm Mountain Time (3:00-5:00 pm EDT)
• May 5, 2022, 6:00-8:00 pm Mountain Time (8:00-10:00 pm EDT)
