NASA UPDATE ON THE JAMES WEBB SPACE TELESCOPE (JWST), July 16, 2020, virtual, 4:30 pm ET

NASA will provide an update on the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) during a media telecon on July 16, 2020 at 4:30 pm ET.  Audio will air on NASA Live.

Participants are:

• Stephen Jurczyk, NASA associate administrator
• Thomas Zurbuchen, NASA Science Mission Directorate associate administrator
• Gregory Robinson, NASA Webb program director
• Eric Smith, NASA Webb program scientist

It is almost certain they will announce another delay in the telescope’s launch. Before the coronavirus pandemic the March 2021 launch date was already looking iffy and work slowdowns for many weeks due to COIVD-19 has further affected its preparation.
