NATIONAL SPACE COUNCIL BLACK SPACE WEEK FORUM, June 17, 2024, 11:30 am-3:00 pm ET

The National Space Council Black Week Space Forum on June 17, 2024 from 11:30 am-3:00 pm ET will “highlight the career paths and contributions of Black people in the space enterprise.”

The theme is: Beyond the Color Lines: From Science Fiction to Science Fact.  It will take place at the Oprah Winfrey Theater at the National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington, DC.

The event will be livestreamed.

An agenda is not posted on the event’s website as of June 14, but the FAA’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation says that FAA/AST Associate Administrator Kelvin Coleman will provide opening remarks and “an FAA Commercial Space Transportation Safety Inspector will participate in a panel discussion on young leaders and career paths for the future of space.”
