NAVIGATING SPACE: CHARTING A COURSE FOR A SUSTAINABLE SPACE ENVIRONMENT (UNIDIR et al), Oct 28, 2019, New York, NY, 10:00 am-6:00 pm ET

The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), the Secure World Foundation (SWF), and Project Ploughshares will hold a workshop at U.N. HQ in New York City on October 28, 2019 fro 10:00 am – 6:00 pm ET to explore safety and security challenges in outer space.

The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), in cooperation with the Secure World Foundation and Project Ploughshares, is pleased to invite you to a workshop exploring safety and security challenges in outer space. This event will include a series of interactive panels including: an in-depth look at current dynamics and disruption in the space environment, new technologies that are changing space activities and a dynamic new area for economic and scientific growth, and how new technologies can inform multilateral discussions on PAROS. This event is organized on the margins of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly First and Fourth Committee meetings.

UNIDIR encourages the participation of representatives and experts specialized or interested in issues pertaining to space security and disarmament.
