Northrop Grumman’s NG-18 Cygnus cargo spacecraft, SS Sally Ride, will depart the International Space Station on April 21, 2023 at 7:20 am ET. NASA TV coverage begins at 7:00 am ET.
The spacecraft launched on November 7, 2022 and berthed to the ISS on November 9.
One of the Cygnus solar arrays did not deploy, but berthing was successful anyway and the spacecraft has operated as planned.
Like the Russian Progress and Japanese HTV cargo resupply spacecraft, Cygnus is not designed to survive reentry. It will be deorbited and burn up in the atmosphere during descent.
