OSIRIS-REX POST-SAMPLING NEWS CONFERENCE, Oct 21, 2020, virtual, 5:00 pm ET

NASA will hold a news conference on October 21, 2020 at 5:00 pm ET to discuss the attempt on October 20 by its OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return spacecraft to collect a sample from the asteroid Bennu.

Participants are:

• Dante Lauretta, OSIRIS-REx principal investigator, University of Arizona, Tucson
• Rich Burns, OSIRIS-REx project manager, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland
• Sandra Freund, OSIRIS-REx mission operations manager, Lockheed Martin Space, Littleton, Colorado

The briefing will air on NASA Live.

It will be followed from 6:15-6:45 pm ET by a NASA Science Live session where the public can ask questions of OSIRIS-REx team members via Twitter using #ToBennuAndBack.  More information is in the NASA press release.
