CHANGE IN TV COVERAGE
PROGRESS MS-16 ARRIVAL AT ISS, Feb 17, 2021, Earth orbit, 1:20 am ET
Event Navigation
Update, Feb. 16: Due to the winter storm in Texas, NASA will NOT broadcast the arrival of Progress MS-16 at ISS. Follow the action on the ISS Twitter feed (@Space_Station) and the ISS blog instead.
Original Entry: Russia’s Progress MS-16 cargo spacecraft is scheduled to dock with the International Space Station (ISS) on February 17, 2021 at 1:20 am ET. NASA TV coverage begins at 12:30 am ET.
NASA calls this Progress 77 because it is the 77th Progress to support the ISS.
Progress will dock with Russia’s Pirs docking compartment. When it departs later this year, instead of undocking from Pirs, Pirs itself will undock from the ISS and both will reenter the atmosphere together. That will free the port for Russia’s Nauka science module scheduled for launch this spring.
