PSYCHE MISSION AND SCIENCE BFG, Oct 10, 2023, KSC, 12:00 pm ET

NASA will hold a mission and science briefing on the Psyche asteroid mission on October 10, 2023 at Kennedy Space Center at 12:00 pm ET.  Psyche is scheduled to launch on October 12 at 10:16 am ET to the asteroid Psyche in the main asteroid belt.

The Psyche spacecraft also carries a technology demonstration for Deep Space Optical Communications (DSOC).

Partcipants in the October 10 briefing are:

• Lori Glaze, Planetary Science Division director, NASA Headquarters
• Lindy Elkins-Tanton, Psyche principal investigator, Arizona State University
• Ben Weiss, Psyche deputy principal investigator and magnetometer lead, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
• David Oh, Psyche chief engineer for operations, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)
• Abi Biswas, Deep Space Optical Communications project technologist, JPL

The briefing will air on NASA TV, the NASA app, and NASA Live.
