Jeff Bezos and Amazon.com will hold the re:MARS conference at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV from June 4-7, 2019.
MARS is an acronym for Machine Learning, Automation, Robotics and Space. re:MARS is a public conference “inspired by MARS, an intimate invite-only event that brings together innovative minds to share new ideas across these rapidly advancing domains.”
Bezos is the founder of Blue Origin, which is developing rockets and spacecraft for human space exploration. It has conducted a number of suborbital test flights of its New Shepard rocket that is designed to take tourists on short, suborbital trips to space. A tweet encouraging attendance at the conference indicates that a New Shepard capsule will be on display.
