SATELLITE 2020, Mar 9-12, 2020, DC

Update, March 11:  The last day of the conference has been cancelled because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Official SATELLITE 2020 Statement

In light of the DC Health Department’s announcement today recommending gatherings of 1,000 or more people be postponed until March 31st, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center has decided to close this evening at the conclusion of our scheduled events. This impacts both the exhibit hall and conference sessions for Thursday, March 12th.

Exhibitor moveout will begin Wednesday evening and further communication regarding this process will be shared as we get more information.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and the ongoing support of the Satellite community.

Original Entry: The Satellite 2020 conference will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC from March 9-12, 2020.

Details are on the event’s website.

Conference organizers have a “Satellite 2020 and the Coronavirus FAQs” webpage where up to date information is provided.  It states that the conference will take place and although some speaker changes have been made, Elon Musk will still make the keynote speech at 4:00 pm ET Monday, March 9.

Musk’s keynote on Monday, and Tuesday’s opening session at 8:30 am ET, will be livestreamed.
