SENATE COMMERCE CMTE VOTE ON PAUL DABBAR’S NOMINATION TO BE DEP SEC OF COMMERCE, May 14, 2025, DC, 9:45 am ET

The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee will vote on the nomination of Paul Dabbar to be Deputy Secretary of Commerce on May 14, 2025 at 9:45 am ET.  The Department of Commerce includes the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that operates the nation’s civil weather satellites. It also includes the Office of Space Commerce that regulates commercial remote sensing satellites and is developing a space situational awareness (SSA) system for commercial and civil satellite operators, the Traffic Coordination System for Space or TraCSS.
