SENATE COMMERCE CMTE VOTE ON SOHN NOMINATION FOR FCC, Feb 2, 2022, DC, 10:00 am ET

Update, February 1:  The markup will take place, but the committee no longer will consider Sohn’s nomination at this time.  According to the committee’s press release, all Democratic votes are needed to pass her nomination, but Sen. Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM) is absent because he suffered a stroke.  It is not clear when he will return to the Senate.

Original Entry: The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee will hold an Executive Session on February 2, 2022 in 253 Russell Senate Office Building at 10:00 am ET to consider 13 nominations including that of Gigi Sohn to be a Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
