The Small Bodies Assessment Group (SBAG) will meet virtually from June 9-11, 2026.
NASA ended its financial support for the planetary science Assessment and Analysis Groups, or AGs, at the end of April 2026, but some of the AGs are continuing their activities independently. NASA officials have said they are willing to participate if invited.
The detailed agenda is not posted as of May 2, but a top-level outline is provided on the SBAG website:
- June 9, 9am to Noon Eastern Daylight Time (topics: NASA PSD update, NASA PDCO update, NASA small bodies science update, selected mission highlights, open mic breakouts)
- June 10, Noon to 3pm Eastern Daylight Time (topics: early career talks; 3I/ATLAS post-perihelion observations; 2024 YR4; selected observatory updates, open mic breakouts)
- June 11, 3pm to 6pm Eastern Daylight Time (topics: additional selected mission updates, planetary radar, selected ground-based observing highlights, open mic breakouts)
