SOYUZ MS-22 LAUNCH AND DOCKING, Sept 21, 2022, Kazakhstan, 9:54 am ET/1:11 pm ET

Russia will launch Soyuz MS-22 to the International Space Station on September 21, 2022 at 9:54 am ET from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan (where it will be 6:54 pm local time) and dock with the ISS about three hours later at 1:11 pm ET.

The crew members aboard are:

  • Sergey Prokopyev, Roscosmos
  • Dmitry Petelin, Roscosmos
  • Frank Rubio, NASA

The launch, and rendezvous and docking with the ISS, will be broadcast on NASA TV on the Public Channel as follows:

  • 9 a.m. – Coverage begins on NASA TV’s Public Channel for 9:54 a.m. launch.
  • 12:15 p.m. – Coverage begins on NASA TV’s Public Channel for 1:11 p.m. docking.
  • 3:30 p.m. – Coverage begins on NASA TV for hatch opening and welcome remarks.

The tanking test of NASA’s Artemis I rocket is also taking place that day and will be covered on NASA’s Media Channel during Soyuz MS-22 operations. Otherwise the tanking test will be on the Public channel as well.
