Greetings!

The International Space University-US Alumni Association’s Washington, DC Chapter presents monthly Space Cafes!  These events bring together prominent experts on space, ISU alumni, the space community, and the interested public in a casual forum that encourages interaction and discussion.

The Space Cafes typically take place on the second Tuesday of every month and begin at 7pm.  The Space Cafes are hosted by the Cotton & Reed, located at 1330 5th Street, NE, Washington, DC: https://www.cottonandreed.com/home.

This month’s speaker will be Brian Weeden of the Secure World Foundation, who will speak on the topic “A Broader View of Space Security”.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 28th to hear what Brian has to say and add your voice to the discussion.  There’s no need to RSVP, but if you have questions or suggestions for future speakers, please feel free to contact me at isudcspacecafe@gmail.com.

We’d like to thank the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ National Capital Section for their co-sponsorship of Space Café – we look forward to their participation in this and future events!

See you there!

Greetings!

We are pleased to announce that ISU-DC Space Cafe is moving to Cotton & Reed (https://www.cottonandreed.com/home). Yes, we’ve finally admitted to our true love of the hard stuff and just adopted a distillery. Started by a couple of aerospace consultants, Cottone & Reed is excited to host Space Cafe.

It’s located in Union Market, at 1330 5th Street, NE. Not only is it just a few blocks from the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro Station, but there’s ample free parking out front.

They don’t serve food, but patrons are welcome to stop by Union Market across the street and bring food in or order pizza and appetizers from nearby Bidwell for free delivery.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating space at our new venue!
