PLENARY SESSION CANCELLED; CMTES WILL MEET VIRTUALLY

SPACE SCIENCE WEEK AT THE NATIONAL ACADEMIES, Mar 31-Apr 2, 2020, DC

Update, March 11:  Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the in-person meetings associated with Space Science Week have been cancelled.  There will be no plenary session.

The committees will meet virtually. The public portions will be available via Zoom.  Information on how to sign on will be posted on the Space Science Week website.

 

Original Entry: The Space Studies Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will hold its annual Space Science Week from March 31-April 2, 2020 at the National Academy of Sciences Building, 2101 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, DC.

During the three days, the SSB’s five standing committees meet in plenary, joint and individual sessions.  They are:

  • Committee on Astronomy and Astrophysics (CAA)
  • Committee on Astrobiology and Planetary Science (CAPS)
  • Committee on Biological and Physical Sciences in Space (CBPSS)
  • Committee on Earth Science and Applications from Space (CESAS)
  • Committee on Solar and Space Physics (CSSP)
