More information is on the SWF’s website, which says:
Secure World Foundation and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace are co-hosting an invitation-only door workshop on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in Washington, DC.
This one-day, in-person event will convene invited experts from nuclear policy, space security, and commercial space to examine the growing risks at the intersection of these domains. Participants will share perspectives across sectors and explore potential misperceptions and escalation, especially related to low Earth orbit (LEO) activities and emerging counterspace threats.
The conversation will focus on how evolving space activities are shaping strategic stability and how coordinated policy responses can reduce risk. Sessions will not be for attribution to promote candid dialogue and stronger cross-sector relationships.
This is the first of two events in a two-year Dialogue Series organized by SWF and CEIP as part of the project Strengthening Strategic Stability at the Nexus of Space and Nuclear Security, supported by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
A public report summarizing the event’s findings will be released later in 2026.
