THE U.S. ENDURING HUMAN PRESENCE IN ORBIT: REFLECTING ON THE FUTURE AND PAST 25 YEARS (CSIS), Oct 21, 2025, DC/virtual, 4:00-5:00 pm ET

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) will hold an event on October 21, 2025 from 4:00-5:00 pm ET at their offices at 1616 Rhode Island Ave, NW, Washington, DC.  It will be livestreamed on the CSIS website.

The topic is: “The U.S. Enduring Human Presence in Orbit: Reflecting on the Future and Past 25 Years.”  The International Space Station (ISS) will celebrate 25 years of permanent human occupancy on November 2, 2025.

Speakers include:

  • Jim Bridenstine, Managing Partner, The Artemis Group (and NASA Administrator in first Trump term)
  • Peggy Whitson, Vice President of Human Spaceflight, Axiom Space (and former NASA astronaut — twice ISS Commander)
  • Clayton Swope, Deputy Director, Aerospace Security Project, CSIS
