TWO LEAG TOWN HALL MEETINGS AT LPSC 2026, Mar 18, 2026, Houston/virtual, 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm ET

Update, March 16: LEAG says the March 18 in-person meeting has been moved up 15 minutes to 10:45 am CENTRAL Time.

Note: Due to the recently announced ‘fireside chat’ with ESDMD at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, the in-person town hall will begin 15 minutes earlier as indicated below.

LEAG welcomes you to attend our town halls planned for Wednesday, March 18.

We will have a pair of town halls covering the same material but optimized for folks able to attend in person at LPSC and those able to join virtually.

• 3/18 at 10:45 a.m. CT: In-person town hall in ‘The Woodlands’ room at LPSC. We will finish in advance of the ESDMD fireside chat so folks can attend both.

Original Entry: The Lunar Exploration Analysis Group (LEAG) will hold two Town Hall meetings on March 18, 2026 in conjunction with the 2026 Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC) in Houston, TX.

One of the topics will be LEAG’s future following NASA’s announcement on January 16, 2026 that it no longer will support LEAG and the other planetary science “AGs” after the current grant expires in April 2026.

The first meeting at 11:00 am CENTRAL Time (12:00 pm Eastern) is in-person, the second at 3:00 pm CENTRAL Time (4:00 pm Eastern) is on Zoom.

At both town halls, we will provide an update on LEAG status, including findings from the recent LEAG annual meeting, and an open discussion of plans for LEAG moving forward where we hope to hear from the community regarding your priorities and concerns.
