UNISPACE+50, June 20-21, 2018, Vienna, Austria

From June 20-21, 2018, the United Nations committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) will hold a special segment of its 61st session to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNISPACE).  Called UNISPACE+50, it will be held in Vienna, Austria as part of the  June 20-29, 2018 UNCOPUOS meeting,  Details are on the event’s website.

The first UNISPACE was held in 1968, followed by UNISPACE II in 1982 and UNISPACE III in 1999.  All took place in Vienna.

An associated UNISPACE +50 exhibition will take place June 18-23, 2018 at the Vienna International Centre.  It will feature 43 booths reflecting the achievements and work of the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), which administers UNCOPUOS, Member states, partners and donors.
