SENATE CLOTURE VOTE ON BARBARA BARRETT’S NOMINATION TO BE SECAF, Oct 15, 2019, DC, 5:30 pm ET

The Senate announced today, September 26, that it will hold a procedural vote on October 15, 2019 on the nomination of Barbara Barrett to be Secretary of the Air Force (SecAF).  Called a cloture vote, if passed, it brings to an end any debate on her nomination. Then a separate vote is held on the nomination itself.

The cloture vote is scheduled for 5:30 pm ET.

(The Senate is in recess, except for pro forma sessions, until then.)

Vote Scheduled: At 5:30 pm on Tuesday, October 15th, the Senate will proceed to a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #422 Barbara Barrett to be Secretary of the Air Force @DeptofDefense
