NASA EVENT HIGHLIGHTING SPACESUITS FOR MOON TO MARS, Oct 15, 2019, DC, 2:00 pm ET and 3:45 pm ET

NASA will hold events on October 15, 2019 at its headquarters in Washington, DC to “get an up-close look at the next generation spacesuits” that will be used for the Moon to Mars (Artemis) program.

“Using ground prototypes, NASA will showcase its two spacesuits designed for lunar exploration – one for launch and re-entry aboard the agency’s Orion spacecraft, known as the Orion Crew Survival Suit, and one for exploring the surface of the Moon’s South Pole, known as the Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit (xEMU).”

A public event will take place at 2:00 pm ET where NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine will host a demonstration with NASA engineers. It will air live on NASA TV and NASA Live.

At 3:45 pm ET, a teleconference will take place where spacesuit experts will answer questions from the media.  The NASA press release did not indicate if that will be livestreamed.
