SENATE COMMERCE HRG ON NOMINATION OF PHIL WASHINGTON TO BE FAA ADMIN, Mar 1, 2023, DC, 10:00 am ET

The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee will hold a hearing on March 1, 2023 at 10:00 am ET in 253 Russell Senate Office Building on the nomination of Phil Washington to be Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

FAA is home to the Office of Commercial Space Transportation that facilitates, promotes and regulates commercial space launches and reentries.

The hearing will be webcast on the committee’s website.

Mr. Washington is the only witness.  He is the Chief Executive of Denver International Airport and was originally nominated in July 2022. Billy Nolen has been Acting FAA Administrator since the departure of Stephen Dickson in March 2022.
