SENATE APPROPS CONTINUES CONSIDERATION OF CJS BILL, July 17, 2025, DC, 11:00 am ET

The Senate Appropriations Committee will resume consideration of the Commerce-Justice-Science (CJS) bill on July 17, 2025 at 11:00 am ET.  Debate began on July 10, but was derailed by a debate over the location of a new FBI HQ. Committee chair Sen. Susan Collins recessed the markup and it will pick up today. The FBI is part of the Department of Justice, which is funded in this bill also with NASA and NOAA.

The committee will also take up the Military Construction/Veterans Affairs (MilCon/VA) bill.
