Event Navigation
Boeing will conduct a Pad Abort Test for its Starliner commercial crew system on November 4, 2019 at White Sands, NM. The 3-hour test window opens at 9:00 am ET (7:00 am Mountain Time).
It will be broadcast on NASA TV. Coverage begins at 8:50 am ET.
Boeing also has decided to make it available on other platforms: @BoeingSpace on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.
During the test, a Starliner spacecraft will fire its engines and lift off from a pad at the White Sands Missile Range, fly to an altitude of one mile, and land one mile downrange using parachutes and landing airbags. The purpose is to test the ability of the spacecraft to safely return a crew to Earth if anything goes awry during launch.
