CREW-7 POST-LAUNCH NEWS CONFERENCE, Aug 26, 2023, KSC, 5:00 am ET

Update, August 25:  The launch has slipped a day and therefore so has this news conference. The NASA TV schedule shows it taking place at 5:00 am ET.

Original Entry: NASA will hold a post-launch news conference on August 25, 2023 at approximately  5:30 am ET following the launch of Crew-7 to the International Space Station, scheduled for 3:49 am ET.

Participants in the news conference are:

  • Ken Bowersox, associate administrator, Space Operations Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters
  • Steve Stich, manager, Commercial Crew Program, Kennedy
  • Joel Montalbano, manager, International Space Station Program, Johnson
  • Sarah Walker, director, Dragon Mission Management, SpaceX
  • Hiroshi Sasaki, vice president, JAXA
  • Josef Aschbacher, director general, ESA

The Crew-7 crew is:

  • NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli
  • ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen
  • JAXA astronaut Satoshi Furukawa
  • Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov

The news conference will air on NASA TV, the NASA App, and NASA Live.

NASA will provide continuous coverage of launch through docking, but only some of it will be on NASA TV.

Launch coverage on NASA TV begins 11:45 am ET August 24 and continues through launch, orbital insertion and nose cone deploy on August 25. After that, coverage will be audio only on mission audio circuits and on YouTube until 12:15 a.m. Saturday, August 26 when coverage of rendezvous, docking, hatch opening, and welcoming remarks resumes on NASA TV.

Docking is at 2:02 am, hatch opening at 3:47 am and welcome ceremony at 5:00 am ET.
