CREW-7 RETURNS TO EARTH, Mar 11-12, 2024, undock 11:20 am ET Mar 11/splashdown 5:50 am ET Mar 12

Update, March 11, 11:50 am ET:  Crew-7 undocked at 11:20 am ET today. Splashdown is now expected at approximately 5:50 am ET tomorrow morning, March 12.  NASA TV coverage begins 4:30 am ET.

Original Entry: Weather permitting, the NASA/SpaceX Crew-7 will return to Earth after about six months on the International Space Station on March 12, 2024.

The crew will make farewell remarks on March 10 at 11:55 am ET and ESA’s Andreas Mogensen will hand command of the ISS over to Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko.  See our separate entry for that event.

March 11

  • Hatch closure, 9:15 am ET (NASA TV coverage begins 9:00 am ET)
  • Undocking, 11:05 am  (NASA TV coverage begins 10:45 am ET)

March 12

  • Splashdown, no earlier than 5:35 am (NASA TV coverage begins 4:30 am ET)
  • Media telecon, 7:oo am ET (see our separate entry for details)
