HASC HRG ON RPT OF THE CONGRESSIONAL COMMISSION ON U.S. STRATEGIC POSTURE, Nov 15, 2023, DC, 9:30 am ET

Original Entry: The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) will hold a hearing on November 15, 2023 at 10:00 am ET in 2118 Rayburn House Office Building on the recent report from the Congressional Commission on the Strategic Posture of the United States.  It will be webcast on the committee’s website.

The witnesses are the chair and vice-chair of the Commission:

• Madelyn Creedon (chair) [formerly with the National Nuclear Security Administration, DOD, and Senate Armed Services Committee stafff]
• Jon Kyl (vice chair) [former Senator and Congressman from Arizona]

The report was required by the FY2022 National Defense Authorization Act and submitted to Congress in October 2023.  Space and counterspace issues feature prominently in the report [Gen. John Hyten (Ret.) was a member of the Commission].
