The International Institute of Space Law (IISL) will hold the finals of its Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC on October 24, 2019 beginning at 3:30 pm ET.

The event is held in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), but registration for the IAC is not required to attend.  However, seating in the NASA auditorium is limited.

The judges are from the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

The IISL holds preliminary rounds in five global regions:  North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. More than 60 teams participate world-wide.

The winners of the initial rounds advance to the semi-finals and those winners to the finals.  The teams that will participate in Thursday’s final will not be known until after the semi-finals earlier that week.

The 2019 Moot Court problem is explained on the IISL website.
